Irrespective of cementing my position of "WHO's Snappiest Thread Titler". It has just struck me that i always, always 100% expect every team below us to win all of their games in hand regardless of whether they're playing each other.
I can't put this down to being anything but West Ham induced.

You cunts?

I'm too young to remember the World Cup but lived in Redbridge and heard in school that our local team won the World Cup. Then my mother met my stepdad who was a WH fan and he took me to my first games where I saw in the flesh the three men who won us the that World Cup.

Hooked ever since

I'm a bit older, but I didn't really catch the football bug until I was 9, just after the World Cup.

Which is a shame, because I missed 1964 and 1965, and probably would've really enjoyed both.

I'm not sure how old you are geeps, but I'm assuming we're around the same age. I was born in 62.

I didn't realise how lucky I was in the 70s supporting West Ham. It never felt like a successful time and I remember many heavy defeats but by the time I was 20 I'd witnessed 2 FA Cup wins, an ECWC final and a League cup final.

Little did I know that that would be my lot, Inter Toto success aside.

Come on Moyes, I'm running out of years!

Alfs - coincidence we were winning things until 1966...

Or the Dean Ashton/Manuel Lanzini effect. Go away on international duty and return crocked, never to reach the same standard again.

I still refer to the Tony Daley effect.

Someone shit or on a horrendous drought will always tear us a new one or end their drought and get a England call up on the back of it.

Loving this season so far but have an uneasiness - waiting for it to go tits up. Because that always happens.

That when we get relegated, something bad happens to me. In 2003, my long term bird dumped me and in 2011 my brother died.

Absolutely not related to West Ham, but I can’t help but worry every time we’re battling relegation.

The use of the word cunt, miserable or ecstatic Saturday evenings, the desire to say Irons to random strangers wearing a WHU top on holiday, having hope when little proof of there being any.
